Whale Watching: Calves & Courtship
Watch Playfull Calves with their Mothers and The Courtship of Humpback Whales.
Service Description
Humpback Whale migration is one of the must incredible things happening on Earth. Whale watching can occur throughout the Bay; however, it is even more common to find them in the northern area of the Bay, since the entry point of their migration from Alaska is precisely the channel that exists between Punta Mita and Marietas Islands. We will navigate in direction to the area of Nuevo Vallarta and La Cruz. Whales commonly travel to this area with their calves looking for safety at shallow waters. What will you and your guests be witnessing: Whales migration has 2 purposes: Giving birth to babies and Courtship. Baby Whales: Like any other kid in the world, they are all the time playing, breaching out the water, finding out what are they capables to do and since they still cant hold their breath for too long, they remain in the surfice much of the time, which give us the best chance to admire them. Humpback Whale Courtship: Is a miracle. A group of whales, usually about 6 to 10 really big and powerful males, following only one female. Now, try to imagine all those guys competing, trying to get rid of the others and became the only ones with the female. Other marvelous thing to see is that Dolphins, as curious as they are, sometimes like to accompain humpback whales and their new born calves. Dolphins behave in a protective way, just admiring the miracle of a new born baby. When booking you can choose the type of boat you want for your trip: Super Panga: Comfortable cushion seats, Up to 10 guests, their speed gives us the chance travel different areas of the bay looking for more groups of whales. Sailboats: Is a charming way to navigate with more capacity. Sailboat 38 feet for up to 15 guests or the 50 feet for up to 22 guests. Included: Super Panga Lunch, fruit snacks, water and lemonades Sailboat: Guacamole snacks, appetizers, water, sodas.
